With the development of embedded technology and wireless communicationtechnology, the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) which base on these twotechnologies is widely used in industrial control, environment monitoring and so on. Itrealizes the communication between people and things.Though the application of WSN is very expansive, there still are some problemswhich need to be solved. Firstly, the WSN are deployed in harsh environment withheavy interruption, thus data packets may be lost due to poor reliability of link.Secondly, in sensor nodes, batteries are used to private power, since the sensor nodesare deployed in the places which are not suitable for people to enter, if sensors’ powerexhausts, the nodes cannot do any thing. Thirdly, because the cost of sensor nodes isvery low, its functions are also very limit, it is difficult for nodes to run complexsecurity authentication algorithm or data processing program. All the issues whichhave mentioned above will seriously impact the application of WSN in our real life.To solve the problems, this paper has done some research from the followingthree aspects:Based on Growth codes, this paper modified its strategy of degree, improved theway of decoding, combined with the simple grads-based routing policy, we formedM-Growth codes (Modified-Gorwth codes) finally. According to the simulation resulton contiki OS, relative to the original Growth codes, M-Growth codes can improve thethroughput of network more significantly.In the second part, we aimed at extending the life of whole network by balancingevery node’s forwarding load, which can prevent nodes from exiting networks due torunning out of energy. Noted that the farther the sending node is from sink, the moredada will be lost during transmission, we designed a scheduling policy which givespriority to data which comes from networks’ edge. This paper combined the routingpolicy, schedule algorithm and M-Growth codes and formed a new scheme, thesimulation result has proved that the scheme can really improve the throughput ofnetwork, extend the network’s lifetime and make the data transmission more reliable. At last, since the computing power of wireless sensor nodes is very poor, thispaper designed a security network coding based on knapsack system. This algorithmcan verify if the source and transmission path of data packets is right withoutimpacting the gain which is brought by network coding. By simulation, the algorithmcan detect almost all attack packets.
