Identification of friend or foe systems (IFF) can response of our aircraft, but there is no answer to the enemy or neutral target. In addition, our responder may not boot or be obstructed by enemy. It cannot completely determine the friend or foe properties of objectives only relying on the IFF. Therefore, it has practical significance that the comprehensive identification of the target properties is carried out by using the information respectively obtained by the combination of IFF and ground-based radar sensors.In this dissertation, the friend or foe properties of objectives can be identified by the motion and position parameters of target which need the radar and IFF systems to provide the target distance, angle, speed, height, and response information. Because of the uncertainty for these information which will influence the confidence of the friend or foe properties of objectives identification results directly, in-depth study on the source, size and influence to the identification of the target information uncertainty are needed in order to provide a theoretical and applied basis for the judgment of the integrated target property identification.This dissertation which focuses on the subject of the identification friend or foe mainly studies the uncertainty of ground-based radar and IFF and the influence of uncertainty to the identification friend or foe in information fusion. The main contents are as follows:1. Introduce the research background and significance of the information fusion of IFF and ground-based radar sensors to obtain the friend or foe properties of objectives, and overview development dynamic of the related technology at home and abroad.2. Analyze the uncertainty of the information fusion of the ground-based radar and IFF. Provide a method to describe the uncertainty. There is mainly random uncertainty in ground-based radar, and mainly fuzzy uncertainty in IFF.3. Based on the information of target obtained by ground-based radar and IFF, such as distance, angle, speed, altitude, etc, analyze the size and mechanism of the uncertainty information quantitatively. The result shows that noise error and sampling error are the key factors for the uncertainty.4. Focus on the analytical method of the uncertainty based on the information mathematical statistics properties. And contrast to the modern uncertainty analytical method. Propose an idea of applying the theory of geographic information system uncertainty to the radar information for the first time. The result indicates that it is more accurate for the error to use p-fan distribution rather than normal distribution.5. In the information fusion of the ground-based radar and IFF, the influence on the identification friend or foe in deferent layers is studied. The result reveals that it is more accurate to concern the uncertainty of the sensor fully.
