Wireless location technology is a very popular research project in recent years, its basic principle is estimating the location of the mobile station by measuring the characteristic parameters (such as angle of arrival, propagation time or the time difference of arrival, and field strength of the airwaves, etc.) of the signal between the mobile station and the fixed position nodes. Wireless sensor network (WSN) is composed with a large number of micro-sensors in the monitored area. It has great advantages in locating moving-objects.At present, many domestic and international scholars focus on location algorithm for the WSN, and have got large quantity of high-quality theoretical results. It has practical application to use wireless location algorithm in the WSN.The author starts with reviewing and summarizing the origin, development and application status of the wireless location and the WSN. Application of the UWB Indoor Positioning System (PLUS) manufactured by well-known ultra-wideband indoor positioning system Time Domain Company; it is the hardware platform for the follow-up theoretical study and Application. Secondly, analysis the classic algorithms Theoretical of wireless sensor localization algorithm and get the MATLAB simulation, given the simulation results of the path tracking and locating objects in a laboratory environment, obtained by comparing the simulation path of a moving target results on three classic algorithms, CHAN positioning algorithm is appropriate for this experiment.The main purpose of this experiment is to achieve the positioning of the CHAN algorithm on PLUS indoor positioning system, we apply the C#language to complete the experiment interface、the TO A information processing and CHAN algorithm. The experimental interface is divided into three parts, including the hardware configuration part of the PLUS、part of TOA information display TDOA and positioning results display. The CHAN algorithm is based on the time difference of arrival (TDOA) to location, the data returned from the experimental hardware is only information of TOA, TOA is calculated by C#Programming for the TDOA values. CHAN algorithm’s implementation is based on C#.NET platform to achieve the estimation result. After estimating the location coordinates of the label, the author get the simulation of the location coordinates as well as its effect in the overall experimental environment, analysis the error, and validation validity of the results. Verify the advantages of CHAN algorithm positioning in wireless sensor network positioning system. Finally, the author gives the lack of the research and proposes the future work.
