With the rapid development of communication technology, electronic technology,sensor technology, wireless sensor network has become a hot spot, and its applicationcause for great concern. Secondly, the radio spectrum is a precious and scarce resource,however, the spectrum utilization is low, seriously interference and conflict, lack ofeffective regulatory, then spectrum management becomes an urgent project. With thedevelopment of wireless sensor networks, spectrum monitoring system based onwireless sensor network came into being. It can meet the requirements for spectrummonitoring, it is able to monitor, identify, locate radio signals, and positioningtechnology is one of the key technologies of the spectrum monitoring system.This paper studies the positioning technology based on wireless sensor network,including theoretical research and engineering. In theoretical research, firstly, includethe introduction and analysis of wireless sensor network about positioning technologyand wireless channel environment; secondly, makes theoretical studies about theTDOA positioning algorithm, including Chan algorithm, Taylor series expansionmethod and fusion algorithm; finally, studies the key technologies about positioningsystem, including self-positioning technology about sensor node, time synchronizationtechnology, TDOA estimation algorithm, positioning-node selection. In engineeringapplications, combines with the actual measurement data to analysis the pros and consof various algorithms, and select the most suitable positioning algorithm and keytechnologies for spectrum monitoring system applied to engineering. Finally,completes the entire positioning system structures and make a large number ofpositioning test. The results show that the positioning system with good performanceand high stability, the TDOA algorithm and key technologies based on wireless sensornetwork can meet the requirements of positioning system.
