The emergence of network cameras which is a new generation of video surveillanceproducts is reflected the field of network technology, IC technology, video processingtechnology, rapid development and progress.It uses advanced embedded microprocessors tofinish video capture, compression, transmission and other tasks under the embedded operatingsystem,It is powerful,simple installation, easy operation and reliable performance.In case of the digital, intelligent of urban construction, producting in different places,remote management and other development trends and characteristics, the network camera hasbroad prospects for development and huge demand.so the development of the network camerahas a certain economic and social value.Demand for this reality, this article uses the multimedia system on chip (SOC) DM365todesign network camera. The article first introduces the characteristics of advantages of thenetwork camera and the status and trends, as well as introducing related technical and theoreticalknowledge of the network camera, and then the overall system design and analysis based on thegeneral design process of embedded systems, put forward a DM365core processor-basedsystems solutions, and finally elaborate on the system hardware design and software systemdesign.hardware design, including power supply board, acquisition board, the processor boarddesign.software system design including UBOOT linux cutting transplant, video capture-drivendesign, audio and video services design and system design, and audio and video design debugand analysis.
