Xi 'an Liberal Arts College Network Auxiliary Teaching System Design And Implementation

The rapid development of network technology and the full coverage of Internet provide a good software and hardware environment support for the reform of education and teaching. Therefore, on-line teaching methods emerge as the times require. Based on web, network aided instruction system overcomes the shortcomings of traditional teaching mode by the geographical and spatial constraints, students can access the teaching website system whenever and wherever possible for online learning, which fully arouses students’ learning interest and initiative. Network aided instruction system is not only the extension and supplement of traditional classroom teaching, but plays an increasingly important role in the college’s teaching reform and the improvements of teaching quality.Based on a brief discussion of the background and the related technology and the actual teaching situation of Xi’an University of Arts and Science, the thesis carried out the system needs analysis, general design and detailed design by using the software engineering project development theory and UML object-oriented modeling technique. Finally, the paper introduces the realization of system functions and some key technology according to the System Layered Architecture.This paper takes the MVC design thought as the instruction, adopting J2EE platform and SSH framework technology, using Tomcat6.0as the Web server, and SQL Server2005as database server to design a Network aided instruction system which is based on B/S Multitier Architecture. The system focuses on the curriculum construction, including a total of seven functional modules:log management, online classroom, autonomous learning, answering exchange, operations management, teaching evaluation and system management. The teachers can carry out the construction of curriculum resources and teaching activities, such as revising students’homework, and answering questions. Besides, students can do various learning activities as well, including autonomous learning, online testing, homework submission, discussions and exchange. Thus, the system provides an online learning and exchanging assistant teaching platform for the teachers and students.
