The human society has entered the information age, and new media as a novel tool forinformation exchange which have a profound impact on various areas of social life.Furthermore, the new media also become an important new platform of the Party andgovernment for the country administration increasingly, and act as an important link with themasses. On the other hand, the new media can also play an important role in building socialistdemocracy, promoting social harmony and strengthen the Party’s ruling capacity.The new media is an important platform and carrier of the Party’s propaganda work, and isable to promote scientific governance, democratic governance, gathering together publicopinion for the Party, boasting the publicity work process. But the new media also increasethe difficulty of supervision and control of public opinion and bring challenges to rulingphilosophy and governance way for the Party.For ubiquitous expanding of coverage and impact of the new media, the ruling partymust advances with it and be more innovative and to ensure the new media’s fast andbalanced development. And the ruling party must improve the its propaganda work to enhancethe soft power of culture to boast the socialist culture greater development and prosperity,improve its governance ability, promote reform and open. That is the inevitable choice tomake great progress to China’s democratic politics.
