On Party Newspaper's Theory Propaganda Since The 16th Party Congress

Theory propaganda has been an important role of Party newspapers of all levels since the founding of new China. In different periods of the country's socialist revolution and construction, it has emancipated the mind, disseminated the latest theoretical viewpoint, and delivered the latest policy information. The theory page of a Party newspaper has been the hot space readers are very concerned about.However, the difficulties of theory propaganda are increasing, with the attractiveness to readers attenuating. To some newspapers, the theory page has become a relatively boring page, thus, the propaganda of theory is facing the danger of being marginalized. In the practice of Party's news reform, the theory pages are often ignored. The situation is a loss to the Party paper. Since the 16th Party Congress, in the background of building a well-off society, there are still some gaps, and people's needs not well satisfied.How to improve the Party paper's theory propaganda? Based on previous research, guided by the Party's Marxist journalism theories, combining the latest information and perspectives, and using correlative methods and perspectives in journalism and communications, this thesis first relates Party newspaper's theory propaganda's content, status, characteristics and its functions. Then through a brief review of the history of Party paper's theory propaganda in the different stages since the founding of new China, and an analysis of the current situation of the theory propaganda since the 16th Party Congress, this thesis attempts to address the order of theory propaganda, find the current problems and causes, and explore the directions, methods, and means to break the plight of the current situation of Party paper's theory propaganda, and the outer security for the Party paper's propaganda to do function well.Based on the analysis of the current plight of theory propaganda and the causes, this thesis points out that, to futher improve and strengthen the Party paper's theory propaganda in the context that the Party's lines, principles and policies are correct, two things must be done. First, there must be a clear direction and localization. Second, we must have effective safeguard, and fulfill the "three close-to" in practice, namely, as for the guidance, be "having the soul", arm the people with scientific theory, guides the people with correct public opinions; as for the freshness, be "refreshing", propagandize the new, lively and scientific theory in a timely manner, and use it to guide the practice; as for the validity, be "inspiring", enable the propaganda to take root among the people, and enable the people to be firm in politics and clear in theory; as for the pertinency, be "enlighting", explain the hot, difficult, doubtful problems in practice to the broad masses of people; as for the readability, be "popular", enhance the theory propaganda's readability, affinity and influence.
