Bi-directional DC-DC converter is a new device that has two-way transmission of energy, and used widely in electric vehicles and uninterrupted power. The operating environment of bi-directional DC-DC converter is relatively poor, high temperature and strong electromagnetic radiation. In order to ensure normal working conditions and high conversion efficiency of the converter, it is very necessary to design a monitoring software that can monitor operating parameters and solve the problems of equipment. So, this thesis has designed the monitoring software based on5kW bi-directional DC-DC converter. The main contents are as follows:The thesis has analyzed the problems of monitoring software and described the development of monitoring software and error control techniques.This monitoring software based on the error control and used Visual C++as development platform, Access as database.Upon the analysis of bi-directional DC-DC converter system’requirements, the monitoring system was divided into three modules, including communication module, database module and man-machine interface module.In the part of communication module, it used multi-threaded programming and CSerialPort class, developed a communication protocol. It used RS error correction code to enhance the communication capability.In order to improve database’s speed that can save data and query historical data, the database module used DAO and ADO database access techniques based on the multi-threaded programming.Man-machine interface module used double-buffering technology to solve the problem of screen flicker when it’s updating.This system not only can save and inquired data, but also improve the reliability of data communication. It has been tested in the operating site successfully.
