Along with the computer and the Internet technology unceasing development, the embedded technology has been rapid development in recent years, its application field is very extensive. At the same time, image information with its intuitive, accuracy, high efficiency and wide range of features has been widely applied in such as video surveillance, video conferencing, distance medical diagnosis and other fields. As a new short-range wireless communication technology, Bluetooth has flexible networking, low cost, low power consumption, high transmission rate and strong anti-jamming ability and other characteristics. Combined the embedded technology with the Bluetooth technology, the realization of image acquisition and transmission function has become a hotspot of current.First of all, this article laid out the general designs for the image monitoring system, and provided a detailed design of the hardware platform. The hardware platform consists of: the master chips S3C2440CPU、Flash and SDRAM memory interface circuit USB interface circuit、interface circuit、RS-232interface circuit、 JTAG interface circuit and power supply circuit.Secondly, this paper has learned the primary skills of Embedded Linux Migration, including the establishment of the cross compiling environment, the transplant of Bootloader and Linux kernel and file system loading, and it has migrated standard Linux2.6.32to the target platform through a cutting of the Linux kernel.Thirdly, this paper has modified and migrated the USB camera driver, and Analysis and Comparison of the read and mmap image acquisition means, and ultimately determine the use of the memory mapping method to achieve image acquisition. It has researched the data structure based on the Video4Linux technology image collection, elaborated on the image collection process and the essential steps in great detail, completed the image collection procedure design using the Video4Linux API function, carried on the JPEG compression to the image data and enhance the picture gathering efficiency.And finally, It has migrated of the Bluetooth protocol stack, and completed the corresponding configuration in the Linux kernel. And testing the transplantation of the Bluetooth module, the main tools including:hciconfig, hcid, hcitool,12ping, sdptool and rfcomm. Research on the OBEX object exchange protocol and analysis its hierarchical structure of the Bluetooth protocol, achieve file transfer function by using of the PUT and GET commands. Preparation of Bluetooth transmission program based on OBEX protocol, and realize the image transmission function through the edited Qtopia Bluetooth interface, and test the Bluetooth transmission rate.In this paper, the image acquisition and transmission system has been designed with a high performance, low cost and small size as well as other characteristics. Through the use of open source Linux as a software platform, it has ensured the system stability, security, and high applicability of the system which providing a cost-effective and a strong adapting surveillance system; And in the image data communication system by using of Bluetooth technology, it can be very convenient to achieve high speed wireless connection and file transfer between devices.
