Handwritten Chinese Character Feature Analysis Research Based On Image Processing Technology

Chinese character is a symbol of Chinese civilization, Calligraphy is the essence of, Chinese culture study calligraphy by computer technology has a positive meaning to promote Chinese traditional culture and the study of Chinese characters, and the Chinese calligraphy character computer processing is an extremely important and difficult to analyze qualitatively part in Chinese character computer processing. Extract and analyze feature to calligraphy has become a hot and difficult study point in computer image processing field, and it is still in its initial exploratory stage in the country. Analysis on the characteristics calligraphy has a major value in identification calligraphy, calligraphy copying exercises, calligraphic works handwriting authentication, and so on. At present, under a variety of specific application needs, it is vary widely and randomly on calligraphy feature selection, extraction and analysis, it basically continues the way to deal with ordinary characters images, not yet have a unified set of integrated way on features extraction and analysis for calligraphy.In this paper, calligraphy characters feature extraction methods have been studied based on image processing techniques, starting from strokes skeleton get by thinning Chinese calligraphy strokes image, extraction skeleton key points, divide strokes into multiple segments, separately from the overall features and segment local features strokes multi-level extract the specific features, and through analyze features within and between the segments to described in stroke style combined with calligraphy writing features. Finally based on the style analysis make recommendations for improvement to the copying stroke, make a preliminary exploration and research on the features that be able to accurately and effectively reflect the aesthetic style for Chinese character works, and then play a guiding role in Chinese characters writing.This paper make subjective personal feelings rose to the scientific accuracy computer graphics processing analysis for Chinese characters aesthetics evaluate, applied advantages of image processing to the field of calligraphy, explore Chinese image calligraphy style feature extraction method, then make a systematic analysis and evaluation of its, make people’s calligraphy vague, subjective and intuitive feelings in the past expressed by computer image processing technology, explore the possibility to use image underlying features quantitatively express the high-profile calligraphy feature style.Based the theoretical study, implementation of the calligraphy stroke style evaluation and copying comparison system. The system extract the calligraphy strokes image feature, obtain evaluation for stroke writing style by analyzing, and compared copy stroke’features with original image, make recommendations to improve the copy strokes. As image processing technology application on calligraphy, feature selection method proposed in this paper laid a solid foundation for further study of calligraphy image, the system has been achieved help calligraphy lovers can practice copy better.
