In recent years the concept of Internet of Things (IOT) has gradually been familiar with people. The applications of IOT have been apply to all aspects of our life.The Internet of Things is a network of Internet-enabled objects, together with web services that interact with these objects. Underlying the Internet of Things are technol ogies such as RFID (radio frequency identification), sensors, and smart phones.IOT is considered "The third wave of information technology" after the first wave personal computer and the second wave—desk internet. At the present stage, the common form of IOT is M2M (Machine to Machine). The rapid development of IOT business must have a strong network management and business support platform to provide protection. This will help promote the IOT business development and strengthen the management of application and terminal.This thesis researches on the current situation and existing problem in the IOT applications. On the basis of the telecom operator’s technical specifications and combine with the latest technology, the open platform facing IOT application and device has been R&D completed. By deploying the platform for telecom operators, it can provide a unified operation and supporting mode for all kinds of IOT applications and terminals and perfect management function, such as terminal management. process management, report management, etc. Ail kinds of terminal device can open access the platform according to a standard interface protocol. By deploying the platform, it can break the closed mode of development and operation in the IOT industry, reduce development costs and greatly facilitate the IOT application’s innovation.This thesis firstly introduces the background of the IOT industry, the core technology and the protocol of the platform. Then it analyses the overall position of the platform and the mode of application in the IOT domain. At last it proposes the core function and integrated structure of the open platform. At the end of this thesis, it points out the remaining problem on the platform and the next step of working and prospect.
