Study And Exploration Of The Online Register&Management System For The Enrollment And Examination Of Art Majors’ Candidates

The Entrance Examination for the art majors’candidates plays an important role in the enrollment of college students. It has been a long time that the college Admission Offices organized the enrollment procedure for art majors only in manual model, which indicates art candidates were organized to fill application forms in written, stick their pictures on, and be given an examination number by the manual operation of the staff. With the increase of the art candidates number as well as the data amount, it is inconvenient to deal with candidates’ information and data by the traditional method. Besides, due to the demand of the Provincial Admission Office, which requires each college or university organize the Entrance Examination and draw the enrollment plan annually, the enrollment task of the College Admission Office becomes heavier, which doubtlessly exercises more pressures on the admission staffs.Obviously, the traditional model can not meet the needs of current admission work. As a result, it becomes urgent to design and develop a new set of administration system for the Entrance Examination of art majors, that is, the online enrolling system, to reduce the workload and enhance the enrollment efficient. By developing and exploring the online register&management system for art major’s candidates based on B/S, as well as by combining the current management model of the enrollment and examination for art majors’ candidates, the thesis applies the ASP technique, Microsoft Access database and ODBC connection technique, and finally realizes the functions of online register, field confirmation and digital pictures collection, etc. for the enrollment and examination of arts majors’ candidates. Via the application of the system, it is expected the management level of the enrollment and examination for art majors’candidates be enhanced.The thesis analyses the current situation and problems of the college enrollment and examination for art majors’candidates, and puts forward a solution based on B/S model of the online register&management system for the enrollment and examination of art majors’ candidates, taking into consideration of the practice and the current management model of the enrollment and examination for art majors’candidates. By comparing the concept of management information system, and the advantage and disadvantage of B/S and C/S models, this thesis gives a description to ASP explore technology, Microsoft ACCESS Database and ODBC connection technology involved in exploring the online register&management system for the enrollment and examination for art majors’ candidates based on B/S. Besides, the thesis discusses the safety and analyses the demand of the system, divides the functional module, as well as introduces the realization procedure of the system and shows partial interface and functions of the system.
