Monitoring of high-speed railway subgrade settlement is an important approachto ensure the safety of roadbed, it also provides a guarantee of the stability andreliability of high-speed railway. In recent years, building distant early-warningsystem for high-speed railway subgrade settlement is a new trend. With the collecting,processing and analysing of subgrade settlement data, we can comprehend itsreal-time behavior, and conduct its construction scientificly. All of these have greatsignificance for improving the automation and reliability of the system and promotingscientific progress of the railway subgrade design.This paper uses the settlement monitoring technology, software developmenttechnology, mapping technology, network cosmmunication technology and databasetechnology integratedly, to build the distant early-warning system which meets theactual needs for high-speed railway subgrade settlement. Its main contents are asfollows:(1) Analyse the research status and development trend of high-speed railwaysubgrade settlement home and abroad, clear the importance of thesis combined withthe typical accident case.(2) Analyse the reasons and measurement of high-speed railway subgradesettlement, introduce the system monitoring equipment and its development platform.(3) According to the system functional requirements and design requirements,give the module division method, discuss the system overall structure, using theUnified Modeling Language to achieve the overall model of distant early-warningsystem for high-speed railway subgrade settlement, and give the design of systemdatabase using data-oriented approach.(4) Design the network communication protocol and give the appropriate solutionfor message boundary issue, combine with engineering environment, design servicescheduling algorithm for data collection module. Discuss the design of instrumentcommunication interface, focus on the scalability processing and the interaction withbusiness logic layer.(5) Use Lua scripting language to achieve collection-data conversion. Accordingto system requirement, design and achieve two types of data access based on LINQ toADO.NET. (6) Analyse the pros and cons of common mathematical estimate methods, designthe data adjustment algorithm based on posterior variance estimation, and discuss theusing of multivariable linear regression model in data analysis and forecasting.Combine with ZedGraph open source control and VSTO to achieve graphics andreporting function.In this paper, combine with the characters of monitoring environment, the designand implement of distant early-warning system for high-speed railway subgradesettlement is lightweight and structured, and meets the monitoring requirements ofhigh-speed railway subgrade settlement very well. It’s investment-saving andportabily, this implementation can also be widely used in transportation, electricity,mining, water and other industrial control field.
