The Research Of Flexible Workflow Techniques Based On ECA Rules

Nowadays, workflow management system has not gained the success in the commercialapplication as good as expected. One of the reasons for this phenomenon is that in almost allworkflow management systems, workflow model only handles the completely predefinedprocess. However, in the real world, business processes change frequently, sometimesworkflow model need to be adjusted durning its process instance is running. Therefore,workflow management system should has the ability of flexible.The modeling ability of ECA rules is stronger than that of other modeling tools (such asPetri-net, UML etc.). This paper analysises the relationship among ECA rules, and gives thedefinition of the relationship degree among ECA rules.By using the definition of therelationship degree among ECA rules,the interrelationship among ECA rules which seems likeindependently can be found. In this paper,a algorithm is given to find the relationship amongECA rules. Last,by analysis different types of the dynamic changes workflow model, themethod of flexibility changes workflow model based on ECA rules is presented.A flexible workflow management system based on ECA rules is designed, and anapproach to tuition management system based on this flexible workflow management system isproposed. Tuition management system can improve tuition management efficiency.
