Image rotation is widely used in various fields of social production. It is the premise of a lot of image pre-processing or testing. Also it plays an important role in the embedded field. To meet the real-time requirements, so generally we use the FPGA-based system design.This paper first introduces the theory of knowledge used in image processing, video input signal processing, FPGA theoretical knowledge, and output processing. Then, the algorithm of image rotation elimination is offered. Firstly, the image to eliminate rotation processing require image rotation angle. Using block matching to obtain the position of circular block matching, by transforming Cartesian coordinate to polar coordinate and comparing, get the best angle of rotation. Finally, the use of B-spline interpolation eliminates the image rotation.This article uses a circular block matching algorithm, and the circular block matching search optimization; using circular block coordinate mapping lookup table to obtain the value of the rotation angle of the trigonometric functions; Finally, using B-spline interpolation to implement image rotation interpolation. This system achieves the rotation elimination of the image, also achieves the jitter of the image processing. Through simulation and experimental analysis, the system can be up to30frames per second transfer rate, so meet the requirements of real-time. The computation of B-spline interpolation method is also referred to the accuracy of image rotation.
