THz technology has been more and more concerned by the international academic community in recent years, one of the main researches focus on a key technology in the THz technology-the THz radiation source, THz range in a special position rarely concerned about the less of the previous research on it now, the generated THz radiation power is less than in tile above the radar, remote detection application is not enough, the THz range gyrotron theory can achieve kilowatt output and it is the most promising high-power radiation sources.This work is mainly divided into two parts:Part I:derivation and elaboration of the roundabout linear theory, electron cyclotron maser dynamics theory, analysis and design of a170GHz high power coaxial cavity gyrotron. Coaxial cavity gyrotron can use larger cavity structure, the gyrotron power capacity increases, and the coaxial structure design makes the mode spectrum becomes thinner, suppression of mode competition. Roundabout linear theory of slotted coaxial high-frequency structure, its mode selectivity is analyzed. Use of computer simulation tools, establishment of the high-frequency structure of the3D model, optimized the model and the parameters, analyzed and summarized the gyrotron output power, and got better results in the final design. Established a3D model of the entire tube, and study on the3D co-simulation and got the preliminary results.Part II:based on the electron optics theory, double anode magnetron injection electron gun has been studied. The establishment of a physical model of the electron gun, its working principle are described and analyzed in detail, according to the demand of high-frequency system calculated electron, numerical calculated the particle simulation by programming. With the large number of simulations, analysis and validation of the design parameters on the performance of electron beam, and get some useful conclusions, designed and calculated a better performance for the170GHz gyrotron, for1THz roundabout tube magnetron injection electron gun.
