The ability to obtain information in modern warfare if becoming increasingly important as the rapid development of modern electronic information technology and electronic warfare technologies.The traditional narrow-band radar has been increasingly unable to meet the requirements of modern warfare. Wideband radar not only has a high range resolution, but also has a lower interception. And in clutter, Wideband radar has a higher target detection performance. After all, the launch of wideband radar waveform design is very flexible. Therefore, the broadband radar technology has become an important topic in the radar direction. Radar bandwidth significantly increase makes a point target in the conventional radar detection theory no longer apply, so how in the wideband radar system to detect the target is of great significance. This thesis focuses on the broadband radar detection algorithm and the detection problem to expand the following research:1、Research and analysis on the broadband radar equation as well as broadband radar target scattering cross-sectional area, And also Research and analysis on the target RCS statistical fluctuation model.2、Research on the LFM signal which is usually as the transmitted signal in the broadband radar, Then comparative analysis of the matched filter under two different conditions of narrow-band radar and wideband radar detection, at last, gives the best receiver block diagram of the broadband radar detection.3、Introduced several broadband radar clutter model, as well as the realization of the clutter model block diagram.4、Research of several existing broadband radar detection algorithm, such as Modulus squared accumulation algorithm, Amplitude accumulation algorithm, M/N detection algorithm and GLRT detection algorithm. Through Monte-Carlo experiments on the detection algorithm into the simulation analysis, comparative analysis of the detection performance of several detection algorithms, given the advantages of the detection algorithm and inadequacies.5、Give the M/N detection algorithm improved algorithm, by comparison with the original M/N detection algorithm simulation and validation of improved M/N detection algorithm has a more robust detection performance.
