In order to squeeze out more capacity in terrestrial TV channels for HDTV service,the DVB group developed the second generation digital terrestrial television standard,which is named DVB-T2. Compared with DVB-T, DVB-T2can provide a minimum30%increase in payload under similar channel conditions, with higher datatransmission efficiency, reliability, flexibility, and excellent mobile receptionperformance. By adopting the world’s most advanced coding and modulation shemes,and the introduction of PLP (physical layer pipes) and FEF (future extension frames)and other new technologies, it becomes the current research focus.In this thesis, the working principle of the DVB-T2front-end system was analyzed.Then some researches about the optimal value’s selection of the frame configurationparameters and the software implementation of the input processing and BICM moduleshave been done as following:Firstly, introduce the overall structure of the DVB-T2front-end system briefly.Then present the function and structure of each module of DVB-T2, which highlightedthe working principle of the input processing and BICM modules.Secondly, in view of the question that some frame configuration parameters are notgiven by a definite value in DVB-T2, such as LF, NTI, NBLOCKS_IF, together with theselection principle of the above-motioned parameters which are provided in the standard.An algorithm of solving the optimal value was proposed under the conditions that thesystem input is a TS signal and the combination of the corresponding modeconfiguration parameters. Meanwhile the simulation and verification were also givenbased on matlab.Thirdly, in order to provide a software simulation platform for the hardwareimplementation of DVB-T2, and based on the algorithem of the optimal value of frameconfiguration pararmeters and the working principle of the input processing and BICMmodules, designing a software with the function of the input processing and BICMmodules under the condition of single PLP,which can support all kinds of inputprocessing and BICM modules’functioal simulation, including161926kinds of different combinations of mode configuration parameters. Combine with the programflowchart and relevant c language code, describing the overall framework and thesoftware implementation schemes of each module of the software.Finally, verifing the correctness of the software implementation scheme byanalyzing the result of the data processing of the software and comparing with thereference value provide by matlab.
