The problem of harmonic and reactive power is so serious in the industrial areas of powersystem. A large number of single-tuned passive filter which widely used industrial site existsshortcomings such as poor filtering performance, large volume, loss and other issues, while asmall amount of individually used active power filter has complex control system,compensation capacity and accuracy is affected by switching frequency, single device ratedvoltage and current limit and other defects of power electronic switching devices. Double-tunedfilter has small size, the breakdown voltage level and low-cost advantages (compared with twoseparate single-tuned filter). Using controllable reactor to replace part of a fixed reactor toovercome the double-tuned filter’s defects of impressionable tuned performance caused byfrequency deviation, device parameter drift, system impedance changes and other factors andbringing double-tuned filter branch in parallel groups of small-capacity thyristor switchedcapacitor (TSC) forward for the improvement of reactive power compensation capacity isproportional to the fundamental loss and can not be dynamically tracked load reactive powerchanges, we designed a hybrid reactive power compensation filtering scheme based onmulti-tuned filter and TSC.The article firstly describes the main circuit topology of traditional double-tuned filter andTSC and its’ problems. Then given a new topology of paper used, the filter circuit parametercalculation method and three-phase harmonic and reactive power measurement method.Afterwords, went on to discuss the feasibility of using magnetic saturation controllable reactorinstead of part of the fixed filtering reactor to improve filtering effects, analysed themathematical model of magnetic saturation controllable reactor and control algorithms fordouble-tuned filter which is made up by controlled reactor. Moreover, explained detailedly thekey technologies of the program control system and its implementation. Furthermore, given thedigital low-pass and band-pass filter’s transfer function coefficients tables throughMATLAB7.13simulink platform and described how to achieve on the DSP.Finally, we set up simulation models of the main circuit of the device used by Sim PowerSystems Toolbox of MATLAB7.13/Simulink, given harmonic current and reactive powerchanges before and after the device into the system, the simulation results verified thefeasibility.
