Modeling And Analysis Of Artifact-based Business Process

With the development of information technology and deep informatization, more andmore enterprises prefer to process their business in informationized platform. BusinessProcess Management System improves the efficiency of business operations and has been theessential element of a enterprise’s further development. Business process model is the core ofthe business process management system. A business process management system based onspecific model. Consequently, the management and analysis of a business operations needs tobase on business process model.This paper elaborates Artifact-based Business Process Management (short for ABPM),describes the definition and objective of the components of the model. ABPM is adynamic-data-centric business process model, it’s driven by Artifact. The Paper proposes thelifecycle of the Artifact and proves ABPM is dynamic-data-centric according to the lifecycleof a instantiated Guest Check Artifact.After that, I analyze the ABPM by ontological modeling to business process. I abstractthe ontology of the business process. Then transform the business information in SVG to RDFby XSLT in order to instantiate the business process. Finally, we reason the relations amongthe instances by combining the ontology model and RDF instances.The paper specifies the realization of the tools which is used to draw Artifact-basedBusiness Process Model. Firstly, it summarizes the rationality and superiority of modeling bySVG, which is a technology to store the graphic information. Then the demand andspecification of designing the tools is proposed. The hierarchy and framework of thecomponents of the model are elaborated. The technical realization of editing graphs andrepainting the graphs to open the graphic files is illustrated.At last, I give and analyze a business process of airline ticket booking. Firstly, I draw thegraph of this business by ABPM tools, model the ontology of it to establish the relationsamong the classes and instantiate it. Then I reason the relations among instances by theontology and get the particular and correct result. Therefore, our model is proved to becorrect.
