OLED display, with excellent character is tics of ultra-thin, full solid-film,large-viewing angle and high efficiency, would potentially be the mainstream products infuture display industry. This new display technology is still in its high-speed growth road.PMOLED has now been widely-applied, meanwhile the AMOLED just starts its rapid growth. To take the lead in the mainstream OLED display industry, it would be of great significance todevote in the research of OLED and its relevant technology. As an indispensable part in the OLED display system, image processing will highlightthe OLED display’s advantage. Although OLED’ resolution is fixed, while images couldexhibit various resolutions. As a result, scaling is designed to resolve the mismatchingproblem of different resolution between OLED display and image, so as to optimize the effectof OLED display.Scaling algorithm is the soul. It is based on the sampling and interpolation. This thesisanalyzes the most common scaling algorithm, including nearest, bilinear, bicubic, Newtoninterpolation, etc, and then makes Matlab simulation analysis of the results of the methods.Different from the Interpolation Algorithms in Rows and Columns, the comprehensivealgorithm adopts the suboptimum scaling algorithm. On the horizontal level, it uses adaptiveNewton interpolation based on second-order. On the vertical level, it takes the conditionalinterpolation algorithm based on nearest neighbor algorithm and bilinear interpolation. The method of module design is use Top-to-down. Based on the theory of simplifyinghardware circuit and optimizing speed, it adopts the secondary scaling structures withzooming in horizontall and vertical partition. Interpolated Coefficient uses the lookup table, discusses and designs the filter of the corresponding scaling unit. Also, it applies theoptimized module which could recoup the grey scale loss during the scaling process. At last, this thesis make the module emulation on the FPGA platform and transmit thesignal on the display, the expectation has been achieved.
