Study Of Contemporary Internet Impact On China's National Security

As the coming of the Internet Age, China is going through world-shaking changes that exert profound influence on as well as pose severe challenges to our national security. Therefore, in order to effectively safeguard the national security, it is necessary for us to thoroughly analyze the features of the Internet Age and its means of exerting influence on national security and accordingly propose strategies of resolution.From the level of theoretical research, with the attempt to start from the angle of safeguard our national security, this paper uses theories of sociology, public management and Internet information technology to analyze domestic and overseas typical cases of Internet’s influence on national security. Meanwhile, through the deep study of the features of Internet’s information transmission, this paper explores the contents and means of Internet Age’s exerting influence on our social structure, social psychology, social activities and public opinions, and accordingly analyzes the Internet Age’s influence on our national security as well as the corresponding principles.In order to reflect the application value of the above theoretical research, this paper also tries to analyze the challenges faced by our government departments when executing the duty of safeguarding national security in the Internet Age. With the reference of practical experience dealing with such challenges from some other countries, this paper finally proposes suggestions of meeting the challenges form the aspects of further strengthening the awareness of national security, rationally guiding public opinions, enhancing supervision and regulation of Internet security and popularizing the education of national security, etc.
