With the development of society and the advancement of science and technology, wireless sensor networks is an increasingly important position in people’s real life and operating production.Because of the wireless sensor networks’low power, low-cost, distributed and self-organization, the positioning technology in the military and civilian fields have extensive application prospects.But in the actual use of the environment, wireless sensor networks are restricted by the amount of computation, storage space, the reliability of wireless communications, the energy and basic equipment.However,to the wireless sensor network’s development and application, it has very important significance and value in increasing the performance of the sensor network technology and ensuring its practicality.So how to improve the positioning accuracy of nodes becomes one of the hot spots. This article is mainly from research and development background, the present situation,as well as the basic concept and the application domain of th wireless sensor network to show the importance on researching of the WSN and the influence to our lives.It is from the characteristics of the network architecture, protocol architecture, hardware and software architecture,and radio frequency technology used in several systems to study the characteristics of wireless sensor networks.It has discussed several range finder methods and the localization algorithm thoroughly, analyzed and compared their advantages and disadvantages, also studied and described the TDOA and RSSI technologies applicable to indoor location of several of the major systems. This article is not only in theory,indoor positioning platform designed to do the analysis and discussion,but also has completed the positioning of the interior under the conditions of stationary and moving targets nodes combining with the platform hardware environment, software environment, as well as laboratory test data.
