Smart grid has being becoming the focus of research, especially for the intelligent power grid and the difficulty of development prospect are discussed. Compare the aspect of the development of domestic and foreign intelligence grid, and analysis the trend of intelligent power grid in our country. Communication and information technology is the core and based technology of intelligent power grid. The discussion of intelligent network information security is very important, and the safety of electric power information is the basis to the safe and reliable operation of the power system.As LANs and WANs used in electric power communication network, the information safety is becoming deteriorate.Many electric power enterprise applicates such as identity authentication, the password techniques, anti-virus technology and intrusion detection technology to make protection. This article choose the method of information risk assessment, put forward the depth of the information security protection strategy and start with the different kinds of element that influent the imformation security, by using quantitative model and risk calculation method, and the results show that the method is very high, the feasibility of electric power communication system of the risk management of the good guidance significance.
