China has witnessed its rapid economic development and industrialization, and environmentprotection has to be done without delay. Automation, intelligence, networking for environment protectionare the future focus. Environment protection is imperative to be informationized, and the rapiddevelopment of Internet of Things offers new technology, methods and ideas for environment protection.Environment monitoring based on the Internet of Things can effectively improve the immediateness,effectiveness, implement information sharing and decision support, provide a reliable, strong evidence forenvironment supervision and law enforcement.Environment monitoring based on Internet of Things can send the content of various substancesaffecting humans and the environment, emissions, state of the environment parameters to the informationprocessing center for a comprehensive analysis and processing. The monitoring points which are assignedin location of the outfall of enterprise or the key to environment pollution, collect data and through thenetwork transmit the data to the monitoring center for analysis, aggregation and processing, thus achievingeffective management. The research of environment monitoring includes: real-time data acquisition,prediction and pre-alarm, intelligent judgment, information sharing, emergency response and decisionsupport. The thesis mainly extends the research about the following aspects:Firstly, classify and evaluate monitoring sites of pollution sources based on cluster analysis.Cluster analysis method is used to classify the monitoring points and to find the cluster center. Then thelevel of contamination of the cluster center is evaluated by environment quality evaluation method, whichis as the level of each monitoring point of the class. According to this principle, the assessment system ofenvironment monitoring is designed.Secondly, predict pollutant emissions. In the first place, the GM(1,1) prediction model is built. Adata sequence that is composed of the historical data of pollutant emissions, by accumulate operation istransformed into differential equation for describing the change and connection between the data. In thenext place, the model is used to predict pollutant emissions. According to the model, the environmentpre-alarm mechanism is designed.Thirdly, design system architecture and implement key modules of the system. According to the principle of modularization design, system architecture is divided into two subsystems--client system andmonitoring platform. The client system consists of four modules of data collection, data transmission, etc.And the monitoring platform consists of nine modules of data transmission, GIS, SMS, video surveillance,environment pre-alarm, etc. The key modules are designed and implemented. GIS, SMS, video surveillanceand other technology are applied to environment monitoring, which have achieved storing and managingthe information of monitoring points by space form, reporting the information of environment pollution byshort message, and supervising sewage sites for24hours by video. The all-around, multi-angle monitoringand control to pollution points have improved the capacity of environment monitoring.Fourthly, design and implement environmental monitoring system. The thesis has achievedreal-time access to monitoring data, environment alarm, prediction and pre-alarm, information sharing,emergency decision, and has initially established environment monitoring system of XinXiang City, whichhas larger application value in environment monitoring.
