With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, the requirement of people towards the quality of service of mobile communications gets higher and higher. For the Mobile terminal antennas restricted by the weight, cost, size, and many other factors, so the task to improve the communication quality of the system depends mainly on the base station antenna to complete. The3G base station antenna is different from the traditional directional base station antennas, for the system requires not only the run bandwidth get to460MHz, but also the antenna itself to meet the dual-polarized, high gain, high isolation index. At the same time, the3G base station antenna as a key component of the mobile communication system, whose performance has a direct impact on the pros and cons of the mobile communication indicators. Therefore, the study on the3G base station antenna has an extremely important significance.To this end, this article first designed a new type of dual-polarized base station antenna radiating elements. The performance of the antenna of professional electromagnetic field simulation software HFSS simulation and the structure of the array elements has been optimized to come to the best structure of the antenna radiating element size. the radiating element array were simulated and analyzed four element planar array of eight elements and two elements, four elements, eight-element linear array, through the analysis of simulation results, the case of the same element for planar array, linear array, the performance more favorable. Finally a dual-polarized base station antenna, the antenna consists of four dual-polarized base station unit according to the linear array, array element spacing is135mm, the antenna bandwidth of the1710MHz-2170MHz,VSWR<=1.5, the level of The Bandwidth vertical beam width, gain15.049dB.thefinal processing test of two elements, the four element linear array antenna, input impedance, VSWR, return loss, isolation, gain, radiation pattern, before and after than, and so on to meet the design requirements.
