A 3-d Secure Protocol In The Electronic Commerce Application Research

Recently, electronic commerce is changing with each passing day. However, the security problem brought by the transaction modes while transmitting information through Internet becomes much graver. Therefore, there come different solutions to the payment problem. The following protocols are the more frequently applied ones in E-commerce payment, such as SSL protocol, SET protocol, and3-D Secure protocol which has been widely used abroad.Having been almost integrated applied in all main trend browsers, and with its convenient operation and high security in End-to-End communication, SSL protocol has been the main technology in safeguarding transactions in E-commerce domestically. However, SET and3D protocol, with rigidity and interoperability in systems, are more suitable for the security of E-commerce system.3-D Secure protocol even gathers all the merits from SSL protocol and SET protocol. So, analyzing the three electronic payment protocols is of further and actual significance for the development of E-Commerce, safeguards for online payments, and the future growth of3-D Secure.This thesis, based on the introduction of E-commerce security home and abroad, makes a detailed research and analysis of SSL protocol, SET protocol and3-D Secure protocol in terms of theory. Through applying Wireshark in online shopping respectively based on SSL protocol and3-D Secure protocol to acquire the real-time data, this thesis makes further investigation on the communication process of SSL protocol and3-D Secure protocol, and proposes some methods to improve3-D Secure protocol. After analyzing the predominance of3-D Secure protocol over SSL and SET protocol, the thesis comes out an extended application of architecture in3-D Secure from an intrusion system event.
