With the acceleration of modernization course, the power industry has become arapid development. How to ensure the reliability and security of the electricityproduction process has become an important issue. The operation safety of the largescale boiler using coal as the fuel is highly dependent on the reliability and stabilitydetections. The object of study is Furnace Safeguard Supervisory System. At first, itsfunction, structure and operation of logic was analyzed. The fault tree model of masterfuel trip, furnace purge and flame detection has been given, which become a basis forfinding out the weak links of the FSSS. For the above, we can give the quantitativeevaluation of the links. In This paper, present an evaluation method that uses SPC control chartcombining with process capability index to judge failure rate of detection system oflight intensity. The method can show group variance result of the detection processthrough high temperature stress, at the same time collecting the data of DCcomponent of visible light detection, using the one to one relation of the processcapability index and nonconforming rate to calculate failure rate of detection systemof the light intensity detection system.A method for testing the life of the photocell of flame detector by accelerated lifetime testing. The method describes the life distribution by Weibull distributionfunction, analyses test date by using the least square method and Arrhenius equation. The result shows that this method can decrease the time of life testing, make it sure toestimate accurately the life of the photocell of flame detector at the normal workingstress in a short time by this method.
