Digital displacement sensors have been widely applied in various areas for their character of convenient process. The traditional way in research of the character of digital displacement sensors and the data process is achieved by microcontroller. However, there are many of problems in researching the character of digital displacement sensors for the fixed interface, being less pins and being lack of ability in processing complex computing, such as being lack of requirement and precision by using microcontroller. These disadvantages make the less use of digital displacement sensors.The flexible internal structure and prolific internal logic resources of FPGA (Field—Programmable Gate Array)makes it to be a new way of researching of the character of digital displacement sensors. FPGA is different from microcontroller in many points, FPGA has prolific pins and many of them can re-defined by user according to their demands, it makes the communication between external equipments and FPGA more flexible and it guarantee the sync and configurable of communication. FPGA can implement various functions by internal logic circuits compared with the way of implement by command of microcontroller, it makes the sync implement of many functions, and it process more accurate function of data fusion. Meanwhile, FPGA can implement easily fixed-point arithmetic and float-point arithmetic for owning the high-precision digital data process hard-core, and the hard-core can implement various of complex arithmetic coordinate of flexible control logic.This paper studied a way to research multi-channel digital displacement sensors by using the flexible character of FPGA’s interface, and set up an architecture which the major is FPGA and the minor is external equipment, the architecture is used to research the static characteristics of multi-channel digital displacement sensors. Once the static characteristics is finished, a design to make the multi-channel digital displacement sensors being product is made by using static characteristics, the design is aimed to make the output of digital displacement sensors quantified, and make a comprehensive research of multi-channel digital displacement sensors.
