On Status Of Public Sphere Of Blogs And Way Of Reconstruction

The weblogs are divided into two groups, the grassroots blogs and the eliteblogs, under the impact of the politics, business and technique. The right to speak ofthe elite blogs increasingly strengthens while the right to speak of the grassroots blogsgradually disappears, which leads the public sphere the blog builds to be merely autopia. As long as there remain weblog restrictions, and advertisers and weblogoperators go on with the excessive pursuit of the business interests, and netizens failto rationally exercise the right to communicate via the weblogs, it will be difficult forthe weblogs as the new media to play the role of constructing the public sphere.Therefore, the reasonable measures must be put into action to promote the building ofthe public sphere.Constructing public sphere via the weblogs should be based on the richness ofreal-life communication content, creation of an open, equal communicationenvironment, and promotion of understanding and cooperation, which heads towardsa consensus. To put it specific, it includes several aspects:(1) in terms of policies andregulations, a sufficient number of grassroots blogs must be recommended to presentthemselves on the home pages of blog sites everyday;(2) in terms of commerce, theblog site must make restrictions on quantity of the advertisement;(3) in terms oftechnique, it is to ensure that grassroots blog can appear randomly in recommendedpages to enhance interaction between the elite blogs and grassroots blogs.
