The Design And Implementation Of Contacts Based On Dinara

Since the first mobile phone of the world was launched by motorola, with the development of manufacturing technology of mobile devices and the development of mobile communication networks, today, more and more people are using mobile phone, and mobile phone has become one of essential parts of people’s daily life. From the original cellular phone to later feature phone to now smart phone, the industry of mobile phone is developing, and is changing our life. Now, people’s requirement on mobile phones is increasing quickly, so a variety of smart phone operating system came into being. Currently, major smart phone operating system on market include Nokia’s Symbian and Meego, Apple iOS, Google’s Android, Microsoft’s Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry company’s BlackBerry OS.In November2007, google launched Android operating system for smart phone, soon android was recognized by the mobile phone manufacturers and was highly evaluated by users. Since2009, motorola promoted Android system, released dozens of Android-based smart phones. The Dinara system is launched by Motorola in2011with the cooperation of the three major telecom operators in China, based Android2.3platform.With the Contacts module on Dinara System for the background of this paper, we will discuss the design and implementation of the Contacts module in this paper. Firstly introduce the project background and the major work, and then introduce the Android platform and related technologies, later will analyze the requirements of Contacts and design the architecture of the Contacts application, such as functional requirement, performance requirement, architecture design, data restore design, UI design and so on. Then the design and implementation of three specific modules in Contacts application will be discussed, including Dialing module, Call Log module and Speed Dial Setup module. According to the testers’feedback and users’evaluate, Contacts module on Dinara system meets the requirement and is well received by the mobile network operators and end users. But there are also a few bugs need to be fixed, and the next step is to upgrade the platform to Android4.0based.
