Construction Of The Korean National Digital Storage System

The Korean National Digital Storage System From the perspective of theexcavation, protection and development of Korean Nationality resources, this articlediscussed the ideas and the technical foundation of how to build a comprehensiveKorean National resources information system. We built a Korean National DigitalStorage System based on the DSpace platform and provided reference data to supportour national policy formulation and development of our national economy. Thisarticle is mainly consisted of four parts:1) the hardware environment;2) softwareenvironment;3) DSpace platform; and4) the Korean Nationality digital storagesystem.The software environment involved many contents, including PostgreSQL, Java,Apache Ant, the Tomcat, the Apache-the ant and some others technologies. It neededa lot of patience to combine them together. As the foundational system, DSpaceplatform supports the query capability by using the resource name, author and date asthe keywords. The whole query process is clear and simple to use, and the resourcessubmitted and queried are stable. And the permissions design is reasonable too. Thisarticle were studied the composition of the DSpace system in deep, especially for thedata types, analysis and design. After analysis the data formats in DSpace, we builtand tested it actually.The Korean nationality digital storage system was build based on the DSpacesystem platform. It contains the main interface design, information input processdesign, query process design, questionnaire tables design, etc. The system can queryby two ways, the distribution sub-region and other methods (such as geography,history, folk customs, ethnic festivals, totems, religion, etc.). The system can add andremove resources easily, and supports several common data types and formats, suchas pictures and audio file. Korean nationality digital storage system is relatively stable,which ran through the hardware and software environment test, DSpace test and thesystem maintenance test. The whole system builds a solid foundation for the furtherstudy of Korean Nationality in China.
