Design Of Educational Management Information System Based Upon Network Isolation Technology

It is an important part of building “Digital Campus” to establish educationalmanagement information systems suitable for the school size of higher vocational collegesand universities and their practical management level, so as to improve the management level,work efficiency and managerial ability, with the vigorous development of higher vocationaleducation and with the continuous pushing forward of the educational management mode ofthe credit system and elective system, and it is the key to enhancing the comprehensivecompetitiveness. This present paper, based on the surveys and studies on the administrationwork of a certain higher vocational college, presents a system framework which is the C/S(client/server) and the B/S (Browse/server) the mixed–mode from the user diversity anddata security angle,and it designs a safety educational management information system on thebasis of network isolation and data exchange.The paper explains the need analysis of the system through the analysis of the currentsituation of educational management information system applications, taking academicdepartments of a certain higher vocational colleges as an example, according to systemrequirements analysis methods, and based on the research on the actual situation of thedivision of functions of educational management work and business processes. Based on theneed analysis, the system combines the characteristics of the mainstream system’sarchitecture models and development tools, makes use of the C/S (client/server) and B/S(Browse/server)mixed model framework, uses security system programs based on networkisolation and data exchange, uses Windows2000Server as operating systems, the MicrosoftSQL Server2000as back-end database, C++Builder6.0as the development tools of thefront, and the JSP (Java Server Pages) as language-designing tools for developing websites.According to the needs of the system, the system will be divided into nine subsystems:management system, teaching management system, course-arranging management system,course-electing management system, teacher-managing system, examination managementsystem, performance management system, school roll management system, teachingmaterials management system. Because of the time limit, the only management system,performance management system and school roll management system are designed in detailsand some of the functions are illustrated. Finally, according to the aims and methods of the system test, the system-related tests are carried out and the views of the management level onsystem-related functions and maintaining work are put forward.The operation of the system can increase the information transmission channels,realize information sharing, significantly reduce the working burden of educationalmanagement staff and improve their working efficiency and management level, which is animportant step of the l information management of colleges and universities.
