| In order to meet the needs for development, a company is developing a new system to replace the old system. The company is the world’s leading financial information provider, in order to guarantee the accuracy and consistency of the information provided to the customers during the system migration, we need to verify the data between the old and the new system. The use of manual testing will spend a lot of time and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the verification result, therefore we need to develop an automated data validation tool. This paper is taking this project as background, discusses the design and implementation of the automated financial data validation tool for financial information service industry.First of all, the paper describes the source and background of the subject, and then analyzes the system requirements, builds the system functional model. Based on the analysis of requirements, the paper designs the overall framework and modules of the system. The tool uses Java to develop desktop application as the main interface, combined with a large number of Perl scripts for text processing, uses SSH (Secure Shell) and STAF (Software Test Automation Framework) to interact with the remote computers. The paper focuses on the work the author have done:data source management, tick by tick compare test, closing run test, snapshot compare test, tick loss check, compare update test, bundling update test, capture real time data, and data comparison. The author makes the process design, class design, and database design of these modules and implements these functions. Then with the display of the system operation interface, the paper shows the readers a more intuitive understanding. And then the paper introduces the test situation of the tool. At last, the paper summarizes.This tool has been widely used in the company, and got a lot of positive feedback, and effectively promote the company’s system migration work. |
