With the coming times of the mobile Internet, people’s de-mands of individual requirements in mobile terminal equipment are growing quickly. As a simple functional and aims application, which uses the function of windows, Widget is very suitable to mobile terminal area. It can not only convenience for users to take full advantage of Internet resources, but especially avail for users to pursue individual service for its own purposes.Widget is of particular interest to the CLECS, the developers and the mobile phone vendors with great market potential. They all have introduced a variety of strategy to pave the way for the popularization and promotion of mobile Widget. Aiming at such requirement, Lenovo Corporate Research&Development launched programs based on Android, which were suitable for all kinds of different users needs and fulfilled mobile service provider. This thesis is based on the participation about some design and testing links of Widget project in Lenovo, and on the basis of the mastery of Android and Widget, to implement all this stuff on Android for the purpose of the design and implementation of Widget on Android.In this design, the design objective and general frame of system should be clear first. Then define requirements, design software framework, complete UI interaction interface designed by associated control, last use database and network to achieve Related widge functionality. Finally, given the display functions on Android simulator of PC and Android phones. The functions which are implemented in this thesis has been applied in practice which meeting the market demand.Both the development and design of online and local Widget were gain from this project. The system resouce information acquirement of local Widget are mainly realized through implementation of the battery interface modules, calls to interfaces of application management API and abstract file reading of kernel information. Then the information of the system information was monitored by display controls and click controls. The function of displaying real-time stock information of online Widget was achieved by handle the access and preservation of network information over the networking modules and database module, and use listview controls and monitor controls to display and refresh the processed network information in real time.
