As the technology advances , keep abreast of the health status of thebridge project by the appropri at e ways of t he mo ni tori ng, it pl ayed a crucialrole for the safety of the bridge engineering structures, meanwhile, it alsopr ovided the necessary basi s for the repair and reinforcement of the br idgeengineeri ng str uct ur es, thus it can saved the cost of repair andreconstruction and avoid affecting the functioning of society. It canovercome the traditional di sadvant age fact ors in bridge monitori ng to usethe wi reless sensor network for the application of the bridge healthmonitori ng; it has an important pr actical significance.This paper researched the monitori ng of the br idge health which isbased on the wi reless sensor network technology. Fi rst, studying thecomposition, characteristics,design rules and principles. It did the analysisand research for the key technology of the wireless sensor networkaccording to the syste m used, including the clock synchronization, nodelocalization and the data fusion, the specific algorithm of the node locationand data fusion technology application had been made a detailed analysisand simul ation, it proved the method is effective and feasible. Based on thestudy of key technology, the paper designs wireless sensor net wor k nodeabout Zigbee, including the design of hardware and software. To the designof hardware, the composition of the node is the main line which designs thesensor mo dule, the processor module and communication module and powe rsource. The design of soft ware mainly incl udes the main pr ogram andwireless communication module subroutines. After t he c o mpl et i on o f t hedesign of node, virtual network algorithm was used to optimize the layoutand the simulation, which shows the effectiveness of this method. The dataof the node is analyzed by the independent component analysis on da magetheories. According to the results of the analysis with the correspondingevaluation mechanism, the condition assessment of bridge is made. Usingwarning theory judges whether it gives a damage alar m. F inall y, accor di n gto the above analysis and interpretation of the syste m, design the hostcomputer system.
