In this thesis, the general situation of the mobile communication technology and the principle of the mobile phone antenna are introduced. As the most popular mobile phone antenna, PIFA and monopole antenna are analyzed. This thesis summarizes the technologies of miniaturization, multi-band and broadband of handset antenna.PIFA and monopole antenna has limitations in the technologies of miniaturization and multi-band of handset antenna. Because of the good broadband characteristic, printed antenna has more and more application in the field of handset antenna. In this thesis, the application of printed antenna is analyzed.The first antenna is a PIFA which is also applicable to GSM, DCS, ISM. It has the characteristics of small size small and multi-band.The size of the antenna is40×18×8mm3, it’s smaller than other PIFA antenna.The second is a small multi-band and Printed slot antenna which is also applicable to GSM, DCS, PCS, ISM, UMTS, WIMAX2.4.Three resonant frequencies close to900MHz,1800MHz,2450MHz are exicited with good impedance matching. With respect to their respective center frequency,the two frequency bands,determined from6dB return loss,have impedance bandwiths of about150MHz(900-1050MHz) and1070MHz (1730-2800MHz), respectively.The third is a small multi-band and Printed monople antenna which is also applicable to GSM, DCS, ISM, WIMAX3.5. Four resonant frequencies close to900MHz,1800MHz,2450MHz,3500MHz are exicited with good impedance matching. With respect to their respective center frequency,the four frequency bands,determined from6dB return loss,have impedance bandwiths of about130MHz (880-1010MHz),140MHz (1700-1840MHz),110MHz (2400-2510MHz),390MHz (3400-3790MHz),respectively. |
