During2008Olympic Games, Olympic sailing division encountered the attack of large-scale Enteromorpha prolifera, and from then on, a mass of green macroalgae bloom breaks out in yellow sea in spring and summer every year. As a result, the monitoring of ocean disaster through remote sensing is very important. At present, many departments, institutions and scholars at home and abroad conduct the work and research of green macroalgae bloom monitoring using remote sensing. Those work and research focused on remote sensing monitoring algorithm, three-dimensional marine monitoring system and underwater suspended green macroalgae bloom simulation, but there is no evaluation criterion for the method of retrieving green macroalgae bloom with remote sensing. With HJ-ICCD data, TERRA/AQUA MODIS(Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectraradiometer) data and ENVISAT ASAR(Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar) data, the influence factors of green macroalgae bloom retrieving from remote sensing are researched, and the primary research work of the paper is as follows:(1) The influence of atmospheric correction on retrieving of green macroalgae bloom from remote sensingBased on HJ-1CCD and TERRA/AQUA MODIS data, the difference of the Normalized Differential Vegetation Index (NDVI) of green macroalgae bloom with atmospheric correction and that without atmospheric correction in research region are analyzed, and the reasons are deeply studied.(2) The influence of threshold of NDVI on retrieving result of green macroalgae bloom from remote sensingWith HJ-1CCD data, the influence of the difference of threshold which is limited in a range on the green macroalgae bloom area are analyzed.(3) The influence of satellite remote sensing data sources on monitoring resultBased on quasi-synchronous satellite images of HJ-1A/B CCD, TERRA MODIS and ENVISAT ASAR, monitoring abilities of these satellite data were compared and the difference in extracted information was discussed with respect to working bands (optics and microwave) and spatial resolution, and also gave advice for the early detection of macroalgae patches.(4) Analyzing the confounding factors in green macroalgae bloom monitoringBased on the satellite images of HJ-1A/B CCD, MODIS and ENVISAT ASAR, the confusable factors were discussed respectively and the suggestion of solving measures were given.
