Currently, the majority of street lamp controls and status inspections in city are still in its original state. in addition, the taxi call system has some defects, it is difficult to accept by the public. Taking a taxi is in the natural waiting state, there is a higher rate of the no-load taxi run or labor. Zigbee technology is a rising wireless communication technology with characteristics of short-distance, low data rate, low power consumption, low complexity and low cost etc. In the street lamp monitoring system, the need to transfer data is rarely, low-rate characteristics of Zigbee technology is suitable for applications in the field of street lamp monitoring.In response to the problems above, the street lamp monitoring and taxi scheduling system based on the internet of things technology is designed and researched. It combines Zigbee wireless communication module, street lamp intelligent monitoring terminal and taxi call terminal, realizes remote monitoring and control for lamp status, and use the street lamps throughout the city as the internet of things nodes, sets the taxi call button to complete the taxi intelligent scheduling services, achieves intellectualized and personalized of street lamp monitoring, efficient and humanized of taxi scheduling. Through the establishment of street lamp information platform, it achieve single lamp control and information gathering. During the night after O’clock, under the location of street lamp can be spaced off part of the street lamps, it can achieve energy conservation and extend the street lamp life. Through the street lamps intelligent monitoring terminal as the node of the Internet of Things, each node has the call taxi function, the system can schedule recent and no-load taxi from the caller and display the location of the caller.Through lamps as the wide distribution of nodes of the internet of things, the internet of things system could be preliminary formed, it is of great help to accelerate the process of digital city,to promote saving energy and improving the level of city management. This article focuses on the establishment and networking of the internet of things nodes, the design of the street lamps intelligent control terminals and taxi vehicle terminal, the realization of algorithm and workflow of the taxi scheduling. The street lamp monitoring terminal can achieve information collection and control of street lamp by Zigbee wireless network; taxi vehicle terminal collect location information a1real-time by the GPS system, at the same time upload the taxi state, waiting time and other information by GPRS.The street lamp node was connected with Zigbee wireless network, combined with the taxi scheduling system and GPRS wireless network, it can form a networking system, thus the lamp status information, call information through the wireless network can be uploaded to the monitoring center, and to achieve the street lamp automatic monitoring and intelligen dispatching taxi.The system achieves the street lamp monitoring and taxi scheduling system based on the internet of things technology, which is the first case in China. Now this system has been tested in the digital campus system of Shandong Jianzhu University and runs well.
