The problems of aviation security has been concerns of the global aerospace field and thefocus of the public, in which the" bird impact" has been a serious threat to flight safety and aninternational problem.This paper bases on the analysis of the current airport bird activity, as wellas on the existing airport methods of driving-bird and related devices, proposed a driving-birdsystem on ZigBee wireless communication technology.The basic principle of ZigBee technology is introduced in this paper firstly,include theanalysis of the protocol of ZigBee physical layer, MAC layer, network layer, application layerand so on.Data transmission and network topological structure of ZigBee is made into anintroduction. The design and realization of the driving-bird system are the main points in thispaper,which include the design of bird information terminal, relay station and PC informationreceiver.The bird information terminal using STM32F103RBT6 as control chip is made of theXBee module,GPS,electronic compass and other parts. XBee module is a wireless transmittingmodule using ZigBee protocol stack.The paper also designs and realizes the program for birdinformation terminal, relay station and PC information receiver,which makes the bird dataupload.PC information receiver receives the bird data and send out and drive the birds awayeffectively.To sum up, this paper completed the hardware and software of Driving-bird System forAirport(except programs for PC). After tests in laboratory and airport field,the system showssatisfied effect and has achieved the design requiremens.At present, the system has been used inthe air force airport and working properly and timely,providing early bird intelligence warninginformation.The related departments of airport gave great recognition and praise for thesystem.The system dosen’t only realize informatization of birds in the airport,but also realizeworking with other driving-bird equipment.Because of its flexibility,intelligence and highperformance,this Driving-bird System has great value of application and market prospect.
