The network real-time video monitoring system developed by BUPT Dongxing Communication Technology Co. LTD has reached the target of network real-time video monitoring, and has fulfilled users’basic requirement for monitoring. However, in practice application, system users proposed the requirements to system functions: requirement for video recording. This demand function has become a mainstream feature of such monitoring products, and has important practical meaning.This paper analyzes the functional requirements of streaming recording server and server’s overall structural design. In accordance with the principle of functional components modularity, streaming recording server can be designed as three modules:recording module, network interface module and streaming encapsulation module. Emphatically introduced of the three modules of the design and implementation.The main results of this paper’s studies are as follows:1.Through the studies of H.264 video codec specification and 264 file format, solve the issue of monitoring video recording’s storage in playable file format in server.2.By studying the RTP-OVER-TCP technology and transport of recording streaming RTP data packets using TCP, solve the problem of terminal in private network viewing of video playback.3.By studying the delay playing technology in the RTP video streaming data transmission, solve the problem of RTP format packet encapsulation of monitoring video recording streaming. Design a self-define file format to support the RTP format packet encapsulation.
