The Design And Implementation Of The Automated Test System For The Inter-Network And Convergend Service

As the 3G(The 3rd Generation) comes, various kinds of network technologies was converged step by step. The integrated and intelligent network technology makes the service control technologies in PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network), GSM(Global System for Mobile Communications), CDMA(Code-Division Multiple Access), IP(Internet Protocol) network interrelated closely, and the inter-network and converged service was emerged under this right kind of condition. The inter-network and converged service uses the channels of the fixed, mobile and internet, in order to provide rich and personalized services for the users, which means independent service ability and share of the service data and the network resources. In order to bring excellent experience with the services, plentiful test for the services is necessary before their publication.Test can effectively guarantee the quality for the software products, test can not only help project managers to find out the potential errors of the product, but also can help project managers and testers to identify potential defects in the software development course by analyzing the causes of the errors and the trends. Then project managers can prepare to correct the software.As the inter-network and converged services emerge, neither manual test nor automated test for single network can satisfy the test demand. So the design and implementation of the automated test system for the inter-network and converged service is very necessary. This paper analyzes the meaning of the inter-network and converged services, the aim, methods and tools of automated test, the problems and shortcomings of automated test for single network, and the present situation of the automated test at home and abroad. This paper gives out the demand analysis for the automated test systems from the angle of system function, the integrated analysis in the core part of the paper, the detailed analysis and realization of the system. The paper also shows the test and use information of the system. Now the automated test system has been used in the test procedure of the inter-network and converged services. This paper briefly describes the practical application of the system. At the end of the article, the author summarizes the projects the author participated in during the time of study in Beijing University of Post and Telecommunication. At last, the author describes the development prospects for the automated test system for the inter-network and converged service in the future.
