In recent decades, DCS (Distributed Control System) works consistently as the major system of automation control solution in industry. In order to monitor and analyze the whole system’s work status, it is extreme important for the engineers to get a proper and integral real-time data from the system. Meanwhile, the capacity requirement of real-time data storage for DCS has reached half million points due to the increasing size of manufacture lines. At the same time, the original storage mode that implemented in Supeon’s VF product restricts the capacity to a limited number, also there’s high risk to keep the data integrated when any hardware failure occurs. Therefore, how to establish an efficient and large scaled real-time data storage system to improve whole DCS’s capacity and stability is the most urgent thing in this situation.First of all, the status and problems of current real-time data storage in DCS are analyzed, and the necessity of creating a new storage system which bases on ACE framework is illustrated. Then, functions and requirements of the capacity and stability for storage system in DCS are discussed, the mechanism of data store, query are also analyzed at the same time. With the analysis method of object-oriented, the core subsystems of real-time data storage, historical data query are designed in details. Next, based on the ACE framework, the implementation of how to achieve requirements of execution performance and data reliability for the system is described. Finally, the features of the system are summarized and suggestions are proposed.
