With the development of science and technology, the requirements to antenna performance ofmobile communication technology are becoming higher and higher, broadband dual-polarizedantenna is paid much more by many researchers. Combining with the characteristics of themicrostrip paster antenna a new type of microstrip oscillator antenna is analyzed and designed inthis paper, which can be applied in 5.15-5.825GHz of WLAN communication frequency range,moreover, this kind of dual-polarized microstrip antenna has its own advantage of wide band, highisolation and low cross polarization, etc. if possible arrangement pattern and feeding classificationare choose reasonably. And compared to the traditional micro-strip paster dual-polarized antenna,the antenna designed in this paper is double H-shaped gap floor so as to wide frequency band andreduce the cross polarization level. The designed antenna in this paper is easy to realize and arraybecause the 2 microstrip oscillators are orthometric placed which are horizontal polarization andvertical polarization separately, so isolation in two ports of the antenna is much higher thantraditional micro-strip antenna. The volume of the new type of microstrip oscillator antenna is muchsmaller, which is good for miniaturization and integration. There are 2 main research contentsincluded as follows:First of all, some basic theories of microstrip antenna are introduced, including the definition,classification and structure, in addition, on the foundation of transmission line model and cavitymodel theory, besides working principle of microstrip antenna is analyzed, several influencingfactors and designs of bandwidth of the microstrip antenna is discussed.Secondly, this paper introduces a new kind of microstrip antenna oscillator the design idea andmethod, simulations oscillator size, floor slit size and spacing of the vibrator parametersoptimization are conducted through the electromagnetic software HFSS, which will be compared tothe measurement results.Finally, the key research in this paper is the antenna array cell as indicated above, they are 1×4linear array and 2×2 planar array respectively, the indexes of structure size, isolation and gain inthis 2 arrays are compared through the simulation of electromagnetic software HFSS, at last, thefinal design scheme choose in the paper is a more compact structure of 2×2 planar array, and wehave this 2×2 planar array entity fabricated and tested.
