Computer aided signal testing and analysis is used in many areas, which includes signal measurement and signal analysis. The signal testing and analysis provides possibility for equipment status parameters monitoring and machine fault diagnosis possible. The application domain of traditional testing and analysis system often fixed, the system usually lacks of corresponding flexibility and adaptability, which can not very well adapt to different test object and signal very well. At present, the performance of PC have enormous development, which make possible to built testing and analysis system based on PC, The signal testing and analysis system based on PC become the main development trends with the aid of the PC storage and analysis ability in the signal processing.Combined with the application and technology development trend of computer aided testing, the research work mainly includes following aspects in the paper:The theory of digital signal processing algorithms was studied. The testing and analyzing system based on PC had been built. Considering the engineering application, the hardware system can be used for voltage and current signal test, which can also adapt to different kind signal interface, such as BNC, terminal and so on. The analysis software was developed with C#. In order to make the system can be used in different testing field, the milling force testing and analysis software package, the turning force testing and analysis software package and general signal testing and analysis software package were developed. The milling force measurement experiment was done to verify the performance and reliability of the testing and analysis system. The experiment shows that the system can meets engineering test requirement and has application value in engineering.
