Organic field-effect transistor (OFET) is a kind of novel electronic device,and is also a kind of active device using electric field to contral the electricconductivity of solid materials. Organic semicondurtor material is the primaryfactor which differentiates OFET from traditional field-effect transistor. As theorganic semiconductor materials have many virtues, such as, a wide variety ofsources, the molecular structure can be adjusted easily, many film formingprocess and low cost. But if we want to achieve large-scale industriazation ofOFET, we should improve the stability, reduce the costs and simplify the process.Ideal semiconductor material should have many features, such as, the feasibilityof preparation, the processbility of the materials and high device performance.OFET has already become one of the most important organic electronic devicesthrongh more than ten years of development. Therefore, the design andpreparation of the organic field-effect materials is very important.In chapter1, this thesis reviews the research background, developmenthistory, applied domain and prepared by organic semiconductor material oforganic field-effect transistor. The structure, The basic principle and performanceparameter of organic field-effect are summarized.In chapter2, a new organic semiconductor of6,12-bis(triethyl-silylethynyl)–dibenzo[d,d’]-benzo[1,2-b;4,5-b’]dithiophene were synthesizedand characterized. The Organic field-effect transistor deivces give a hole mobilityof0.53cm~2/V.s, and on/off ratio of10~5.In chapter3, a series of derivatives of new butterfly-shaped thiophene wasdesigned and synthesized. The framework was functionalized by different alkylsubstituent at a position of the terminal thienyl group.In chapter4, we designed and synthesized several intermediate of organicsemiconductor material of dithieno[3,2-b:2’,3’-d]pyrroles under the organicchemistry knowledge and the design principle of organic semiconductors.
