With the development of embedded systems technology,digital signal processing technology and video analysis technology, video surveillance is developing to intelligent monitoring from traditional manual monitoring. Under the pull of the "police training","financial network monitoring," Safe City "project, China’s security market demands rapid growth and the entire security market had expanded rapidly. In this context, author accorded to the needs of the hardware platform of the intelligent wireless video surveillance system and choiced TI’s DaVinci DSP chip TMS320DM6437as the main processors and designed the peripheral circuit and completed the hardware design of intelligent video analysis system.This thesis completed six tasks:1,The development of intelligent video surveillance and the connotation of the DaVinci technology and the background and significance of this topic were introduced.2,The overall structure of the intelligent video surveillance system was introduced. The author designed overall hardware circuit and selected the main components of system and transfer protocol and video coding standard.3,The structure and function of various parts of the TMS320DM6437were introduced. The main processor includes the DSP subsystem, the video processing subsystem (VPSS) and rich peripheral devices interface. 4,The hardware circuit design of each module of the entire system were completed. The author analysised the power demands of entire system and designed power circuit.The clock module introduced the DSP clock and each module clock generation circuit. Reset module introduced reset circuit of entire system.The boot module introduced system boot mode configuration circuit.External memory expansion module introduced DDR2SDRAM expansion circuit and NOR FLASH expansion circuit.The video module introduced the video input circuit and the video output circuit.The audio module introduced the use of multi-channel buffered serial port (McBSP) and audio interface circuit. The ethernet module introduced ethernet circuit. The serial port circuit part introduced the RS485interface circuit and RS232interface circuit.Then the paper introduced the JTAG interface circuit.5,The typical PCB layer arrangement was introduced. The PCB design of entire circuit which included the layer arrangement of the PCB and DDR2SDRAM devices layout considerations and the layout of the entire circuit board components and PCB wiring considerations was completed.6, The author summarized the main work of this thesis and described the future work towards.
