Using computer technology to simulate the structure of the fabric is currently popular in inthe field of textile’s research. Three-dimensional simulation software on the market are mainlyAutoCAD, Lightscape and3ds Max. In fabric’s structure and surface simulation, the key is fabricCAD software, which also is one of the main software used in the textile industry. How toachieve the simulation of fabric structure in order to achieve rapid realization of design is thehottest study. The potential is not completely played by the use of computer software designed to aid thefabric design. The main reason is that while the software is not in the early stage of developmentthe industry is not for a particular design features; the other hand, the fabric designers lacksystematic understanding of the software’s concept. The focus of this study is the application of3ds Max software, the effect of fabric structure andsurface analysis, and the implementation of simulating the three-elementary weave and gridweave. The applications of lofting modeling theory, the use of NURBS curves, which avoidsetting out the sharp corner, achieve the simulation. The closed NURBS curve simulates thefabric’s section. Different sections of the model by adjusting the closed curve’s control pointsloft the weave.
