In recent years, with the constant development of our economy and the improvement ofpeople’s living standards, China’s automobile industry develops rapidly, more and moreattention is paid to city traffic problems. With the needs of traffic information growing witheach passing day, vehicle navigation system has been used more and more widely. The currentvehicle navigation system has a mature technology and practical function, but whentraditional navigation systems planning for path, it is based on the map data and the networkstructure which is static information stored locally, it has some problems such as data is notupdated in time, or cannot use the real-time traffic information. The use of static geographicalinformation path planning and the induction of the vehicle navigation system can not reallyalleviate the road congestion.Central navigation system, unlike the traditional vehicle navigation system, it can bebased on real-time traffic information, using the latest network structure and real-time roadconditions for user navigation, which can alleviate traffic pressure. The map data used byvehicle navigation terminal is downloaded by the server, and also the navigation terminalcannot store complex intelligent traffic system’s applications and the electronic map data. Thevehicle terminal communicates with the navigation center server to exchange map data andnetwork data through protocols, thus to realize the in-time updating of map data and networkdata. This paper’s core content is to complete induction center navigation module’s design andimplementation. The premise of induction is access the network structure and map matching. This paper introduces the network model, network topology structure, road selection andmatching program. The propose the road network data presetting and update strategy based onthe map block method, and the design of the network data transmission protocol. Then thereal vehicle experiment proves the availability of road network data download. And alsodesign and implement the without inducing module and planned induction module based onmap matching. The module is mainly responsible for downloading real-time induced data andwithout planning induced data (i.e., path planning and local magnification information)during driving, and provides the driver with the navigation service according to real-time roadinformation. The planning induction and without planning induced navigation’s tip timing andaccuracy have been obtained satisfactory results based on car experiment.
